Stress is an inescapable part and parcel of life.  There could be situational or certain phases of life when stress is unavoidable. This programme is not about avoiding Stress but about identifying ways to live side-by-side – ‘Partnering Stress’ so that it will not incapacitate us but rather propel us to skills of self-discovery that can strengthen personal resilience.  

Learning Outcome

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  • Define what Stress is
  • Explain the 4 aspects that make up a person
  • Identify Type A and Type B personalities
  • Identify the causes and types of Stress
  • List the reactions to Stress
  • Identify Assertiveness Vs Aggressiveness in managing Stress
  • Demonstrate the application of Assertiveness
  • Explain the styles of conflict resolution
  • List the steps to managing emotions
  • Design an Action Plan to manage stress in work and personal life

Ms Wong Lai Chun

WONG LAI CHUN (MSc, BA, DIP TM, Cert Counselling) was the Senior Assistant Director of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) – a 24 hour hotline suicide prevention centre and the author of the book published in 2019 – ‘Do I Matter’. She is also a Certified Behavioural Consultant and Life Coach. (Institute of Motivational Living Inc (USA) American University of NLP)

She has many years of experience training locally and internationally and speaks at international conferences and company-wide events, as well as on radio and TV programmes.
