Course on Event and Media Management for Non-Profit Organisations

Event Management is part and parcel of the realities of staff and volunteers alike. Events help launch programmes and render public awareness of the cause, the vision and mission of the organisation. This course unveils the ins and outs of event management and delves into the details of how to manage an event and how to manage the press in order to help create a good reputation for the organisation.


Learning Outcomes – You will be able to:

  • Discuss the development, implementation and contingency management for an effective event management that supports the mission and vision of the organisation;
  • Design and organise an event pertaining to the different occasions as programme launches and milestone recognition;
  • Write and strategise good programme agendas and good feedback of the event

Trainer Profile:

Ms Wheeki Goh holds a Master in Mass Communications & Journalism from University of Iowa, USA. She lectures in Polytechnics and University in Singapore, teaching Business Communications & Marketing, Public Relations & Social Media, Marketing Communications and Branding & Communications. Her experience allowed her to enhance various course contents to tailor to her student’s needs. Over the years, some of her students were coached to be young entrepreneurs who jump-started small businesses.
